LG, Microsoft Form Partnership on Cloud Computing

LG announced
on September 30, 2010 that the company has signed a license agreement with
Microsoft to cooperate on the integration among the multi computing solution LG
Network Monitor, WMS (Windows MultiPoint Server), and RemoteFX, according to
the Korea IT Times. As per the agreement, LG is expected to launch a new line
of Network Monitor with RemoteFX integrated in mid-2011, targeting the
enterprise cloud computing market. Meanwhile, the Network Monitor with WMS 2010
integrated is projected to target the education cloud computing market. The two
companies aim to take up 25% market share in the education segment by 2012. The
education market sector in Korea is estimated to grow by more than 50% each
year, reaching 20 million units in 2015, according to the same source.
