September 03, 2010
Hynix
and HP announced on September 1, 2010 that the two companies have entered into
an agreement to jointly develop and
commercialize the memristor technology over the next three years, according to
a Hynix press release. Through the joint development of materials and process
integration, it is reported that the two companies will collaborate on
transforming the memristor technology from lab to commercial use in ReRAM (Resistive
Random Access Memory) products. It is said that memristor can store significantly
more data than various existing technologies, according to Hynix.
