Malaysian WiMAX carrier Packet One Networks and Korean SK Telecom, which reached a plan for stake sale in late May, said on June 22 that a partnership agreement to the effect will be signed on June 29, according to Dow Jones Newswires. It is reported that SK Telecom plans to spend US$100 million on purchasing a 25.77% stake in Packet One. Furthermore, along with the partnership agreement, Packet One revealed that it will roll out the first WiMAX-enabled notebook PCs in Malaysia, which are developed in partnership with Intel.
