Young Fast Teams Up with AIS for Capacitive Touch Panels
June 11, 2010
Young Fast Optoelectronics, a Taiwan-based TPS (Touch Panel Sensor) manufacturer, announced on June 8, 2010 that it has signed an MOU with Japan's AIS for the supply of medium-size glass-based projected capacitive touch panels, according to the Central News Agency of Taiwan. It is reported that Young Fast will make an investment in acquiring a stake of less than 10% in AIS. Through the cooperation, AIS is expected to supply Young Fast with approximately 160,000 10-inch touch panels every month.

Aside from TPS, Young Fast began mass production of capacitive touch panels in 2009. AIS originally specialized in the manufacturing of color filters and has shifted its focus to capacitive touch panels. At present, AIS has a 3G glass-based projected capacitive touch panel production line.
