Taiwanese LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) panel manufacturer CMO, which is slated to be merged with Foxconn subsidiary Innolux in 2010, has reportedly landed an LED (Light Emitting Diode)-backlit LCD TV order from Korea's Samsung, Taiwan's Economic Daily News reported on December 29. It is reported that this order is mainly for value-line large-size LED-backlit models targeting the Asia-Pacific region. Information on financial details or shipment volume was not disclosed in the report. CMO has been supplying LCD TV panels to Samsung and the company accounts for a large share in the 12 million units that Samsung procured from Taiwan in 2009.
