LG to Cease All PC In-house Production

Korean LG announced on November 30 that the company will officially end the production of notebook and desktop PCs, closing its notebook PC plant based in Kunshan, indicating its complete withdrawal from the PC manufacturing field, China, Korea's Chosun Ilbo News reported on December 2. With the closure of its Chinese plant, LG will outsource production of notebook and desktop PCs and focus on the design, R&D, and development of PCs. LG stated that the company has already outsourced some of its notebook PC models to contract manufacturers, and all of its desktop PC models have been outsourced, according to the same source.
