China's Inspur to Establish New Optoelectronics Industrial Park in Shandong, China

Leading Chinese server maker Inspur recently announced that the company has begun constructing a new optoelectronic park, named the Inspur Optoelectronics Industrial Park, at Jinan, capital of Shandong province, China, the Xinhua News reported on November 6. The investment is valued at four billion RMB (US$588.2 million; US$1 = 6.8 RMB). The park will be constructed in three phases over the next three to five years, with the first phase investment estimated at 1.7 billion RMB (US$235.3 million) and slated for completion in 2011. Upon completion, the park is expected to cover an area of 160,000 square meters and will manufacture LED (Light Emitting Diode) semiconductor illumination products.
