Japan's Emobile Debuts HSPA+ Service Leveraging Huawei Equipment

Emobile, a Japanese wireless broadband operator,
recently launched the first commercial HSPA+ (Evolved High Speed Packet Access)
service in Japan, Nikkei reported on August 10. By means of Chinese Huawei
Technologies' end-to-end solution, which includes advanced DBS (Distributed
Base Station) and D31HW data card, Emobile provides enhanced mobile broadband
services of high-speed Internet connection, media file streaming, and VoIP (Voice
over Internet Protocol) at a maximum downlink speed of 21.6Mbps. It is reported
that Emobile's HSPA+ network covers regions and cities including Hokkaido,
Sendai, Niigata, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, and Nagasaki.
