TCL's Huizhou Plant Begins LCD Module Production

Chinese electronics manufacturer TCL recently began mass production of LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) modules at its Huizhou plant in Guangdong Province, Chine Knowledge reported on December 24. Currently one production line is operational and another is under construction, with two more new lines scheduled to come on stream in April 2009. Initially TCL expects to produce 2.33 million LCD modules per year at the Huizhou plant. With the completion of the second-phase project, TCL will be able to reach an annual production capacity of three million LCD TVs and two million LCD components.
