Lenovo Aims to Tap Netbook PC Demand in Japan

Chinese PC maker Lenovo announced on December 3 that it will launch  netbook PCs, codenamed IdeaPad S10e, aiming to boost is market presence in Japan, the Nikkei reported. Equipped with a large-area 10.1-inch LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) panel, the netbook PC will be priced at 54,800 Yen (US$592.2; US$1 = 92.5 Yen) and be available in the Japanese market on December 6 in a bid to tap surging netbook PC demand in the region. Aside from Lenovo, HP, Dell, Acer, and Toshiba have already offered similar products in Japan, according to the same source.
