Samsung to Build Second LCM Plant in China

Korea-based Samsung Electronics recently confirmed its plan to construct a new LCM (Liquid Crystal Display Module) plant in China, in a bid to meet the increasing demand for LCD TVs in the country, Electronic Times of Korea reported.

According to the same report, Samsung is still looking for an appropriate site, mostly likely to be located in Guangzhou or Suzhou. The company already has an LCM factory in Suzhou, China, mainly producing LCD components for use in PC monitors and notebook PCs, according again to Eletronic Times.
