German Liquid Crystal Maker Merck to Open R&D Center in Korea

German liquid crystal maker Merck announced on February 15 that it will open an R&D center in Korea to develop LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) technology and boost the company's production capacity.
Merck plans to invest 14 billion Won (US$14.7 million; US$1=947.8 Won) in this R&D center, according to Yonhap News. Location of the facility will be in Poseung, where the company already has a plant.
