Syntax-Brillian, Sharp Reach LCD Supply Agreement

Syntax-Brillian, a US-based manufacturer of LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) HDTVs (High Definition Televisions), recently announced that it has signed a supply agreement with Japanese electronics manufacturer Sharp.
Pursuant to the agreement, Sharp will supply a minimum of 700,000 LCD panels to Syntax-Brillian in the year 2008. Panel sizes to be shipped include 32-, 37-, 52- and 65-inches, Nikkei Electronics Asia reported.
As part of the agreement, Syntax-Brillian and its Taiwanese partner Kolin are given exclusive rights to purchase Sharp's 65-inch 120Hz LCD panels until the end of September 2008.
