According to a Dow Jones report, Taiwanese FPD (Flat-Panel Display) maker CPT (Chunghwa Picture Tubes) announced on September 27 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Korean LPL (LG.Philips LCD), whereby the two companies agreed to share their past and future patents pertaining to FPD technologies. Under the agreement, both parties also consented to resolve all pending claims and charges against each other.
