According to Taiwan's Economic Daily News, the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of AUO pointed out in an interview that AUO will develop advanced built-in touchscreen panels by setting up a production line of key components under Cando, the LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) color filter manufacturing subsidiary of AUO. Cando's new production line is projected to manufacture ITO (Indium TinOxide) transparent electroconductive films for use in touchscreen panels. AUO plans to debut in late October its built-in touchscreen panel at FDP International 2007 in Yokohama, Japan.
