Three Companies to Share Vodafone's US$1.8 Bln Contract in India

The Economic Times of India recently reported that Vodafone is expected to award a US$1.8 billion contract for its network expansion project in India to three companies: Nokia Siemens Networks, Ericsson, and Motorola. Nokia Siemens is expected to claim the largest share of the contract and is reported to supply network electronics for Vodafone in 12 out of 16 telecom circles. Further details of this contract are expected to be disclosed on Vodafone's board meeting in September this year.
