Chinese RBC, Korean iRiver Collaborate on Mobile TV Service
August 11, 2007
Aiming to launch mobile TV service before the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Chinese RBC (Radio Beijing Corporation) announced on August 8 that it has entered into a collaboration agreement with iRiver, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Korean portable multimedia device maker ReignCom. The collaboration is projected to enable RBC's subscribers to view the Olympic events on iRiver's Pocket TV terminals, a variation of mobile TV terminals. Currently, RBC still has four launching points under construction, slated for completion by year-end 2007.
