Further strengthening their existing PDP (Plasma Display Panel) partnership forged in 2005, Matsushita and Hitachi recently announced a deal to supply each other with plasma panels. Under the terms of the agreement, Matsushita will supply Hitachi with 103-inch plasma panels starting in fiscal year 2007, which runs from April 2007 through March 2008, and Hitachi will begin supplying Matsushita with 85-inch panels in fiscal year 2008.
