RDA Debuts Quad-band PA Module for Mobile Phones

Chinese RF (Radio Frequency) chip maker RDA recently announced that it has developed China's first homemade quad-band power amplifier module supporting GSM850, EGSM900, DCS1800, and PCS1900. Codenamed RDA6216, the invention allows EDGE devices to deliver high speed, high volume data transmission. Currently, the company's RF chips support TD-SCDMA (Time Division-Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access), 2G/2.5G, SCDMA (Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access), and PHS (Personal Handy-Phone System) phones.
