Samsung Begins Mass Production for 51nm 16GB NAND Flash Chips

Samsung recently announced that it has kicked off mass production for the world's first 16-gigabyte NAND flash memory chips, leveraging 51-nanometer process technology. With the highest capacity now available, Samsung's new memory chip is able to boost the efficiency by 60%, with read and write speeds improved by approximately 80%, compared to the company's 60nm predecessor.
