Sichuan Hongou to Build China's First PDP TV Production Line

A Xinhua news report states that China's Sichuan Hongou, a joint venture between Changhong, Century Shuanghong Display Devices, and MatlinPatterson Global Opportunities Partners II, will construct a PDP TV and module production line in Sichuan with an investment of US$675 million. The production line is expected to churn out more than two million PDP modules per year. This plan has won approval from the National Development and Reform Commission and construction is scheduled to begin in late April.
