Samsung Develops 24" LCD Panel with LED Backlight

On April 11, Samsung announced that it has developed a new 24" LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) panel based on LED (Light-Emitting Diodes) technology for PC monitors, with production slated for the second quarter of 2007. This LED-embedded display features 180% degree of viewing angels and significantly improved color quality, with its color saturation level reaching 111% of NTSC (National Television Standards Committee) standard in comparison to the 72% level in existing PC monitors.
