S-LCD to Advance 8G LCD Panel Production to Summer 2007

With facility construction completed ahead of schedule, S-LCD, an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) joint venture set up by Sony and Samsung, plans to advance the production of large-sized LCD panels at its 8G plant in Tangjeong, Korea. Originally slated for autumn 2007, S-LCD's 8G production can thus be moved up by two or three months to summer, in time to meet the peak-season demand during Christmas season.
