Kenmos to Boost Investment in China's Backlight Module Plants

According to Taiwan's PIDA (Photonics Industry and Technology Development Association), Kenmos will inject an extra investment of approximately US$ six million to expand its Ningbo plant. The firm also stated that it plans to build new backlight module plants in Wujiang and Fuzhou for around US$ 3 and US$1.47 million, respectively. These two new plants are reportedly to be adjacent to the LCM (Liquid Crystal Display Module) facilities of AUO, CMO, LPL (LG Philips LCD), and CPT (Chuanghwa Picture Tubes).
