LG.Philips Displays, a CRT joint venture between Korean LG Electronics and Dutch Royal Philips Electronics, announced a new company name, LP Displays, to take effect as of April 1, 2007. LP Displays vows to carry on the focus on its SuperSlim and UltraSlim CRT TVs. LP Displays will retain its operational base in Hong Kong. Manufacturing facilities in Brazil, China, Indonesia, and Korea, as well as component plants in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, will continue operations.
