TPV to Build New LCD TV and Monitor Plant in Poland
March 15, 2007
Taiwan-based TPV recently announced that the company will set up a new LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) monitor and TV plant in Poland for US$80 million over next three to five years, due to its failure in acquiring an existing plant in Poland for US$35 million. With an initial investment of approximately US$40 million, the plant is scheduled to kick off construction in mid-2007 and start operations in the latter half of 2008, initially to churn out five to six million units of LCD monitors and TVs annually, and further to ten million units. Other than Poland, the company currently has facilities located in China's Beijing, Fuqing, Wuhan, and Suzhou.
