China's BOE Technology Group has injected an investment of 40 million RMB (US$5.16 million; US$1 = 7.75 RMB) in its wholly-own unit BOE-SDT to expand its LCD TV business. With an eye on both the overseas and domestic ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) markets for LCD TV, BOE-SDT aims to export small and medium-sized LCD TVs compatible with DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcasting - Terrestrial) and ATSC (Advanced Television Systems Committee) standards to Europe and North America while selling i-Module-enabled LCD TVs in the domestic market.
