Korean LPL (LG.Philips) announced on February 11 that it plans to boost its 7G TFT-LCD (Thin Film Transistor - Liquid Crystal Display) capacity at its existing facility in Paju, Korea, by increasing input glass substrates per month from the current 90,000 to 110,000 units. This expansion, to be completed by the third quarter of 2007, is expected to meet the growing market demand for large-size LCD TVs, including 42-inch and 47-inch. Financial details of this expansion were not revealed.
