Chinese Skyworth's Shenzhen Facility Starts Production

The Skyworth Flat-panel Display Science Park, Chinese electronics maker Skyworth Group's manufacturing base in Shenzhen, is reported to have started production in January 2007. Skyworth's investment in the Shenzhen facilities is estimated at approximately one billion RMB (US$128.6 million; US$1 = 7.8 RMB) and the plant is expected to produce 20 million color TV sets and display a year. Skyworth's mobile communications, LCD, and auto businesses have relocated in the Science Park as well.
