BOE, SVA, IVO to Form Panel JV in Shanghai

According to Taiwan's Commercial Times, Chinese panel makers Boe, SVG, and IVO have signed an MOU whereby they will consolidate their production lines and form a new company in Shanghai, in a bid to acquire more resources from the government and increase their competitiveness. The new company, which will have three 5G production lines, will be able to churn out 200,000 panels per month. The three companies are expected to reach the final agreement by June 30, 2007.
