Changhong Begins TV Production in Czech Republic

As a follow up to an Asian express article dated March 31, Changhong's TV production plant located in Nymburk, Czech Republic has begun pilot production on December 6, 2006. With five assembly lines in place, the facility, which is expected to employ approximately 300 people by late 2007, up from the current 100, will produce 50-inch or smaller PDP (Plasma Display Panel), LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), and CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) TVs, with an an annual capacity of one million units.
