Sony Launches WAPI-compatible Notebook PCs

According to DoNews.com, Sony has launched several new VAIO SZ-series notebook PCs in China that support WAPI (Wireless Authentication and Privacy Infrastructure), China's homegrown wireless standard. Sony thereby became the first major international player to roll out WAPI-compatible notebook PCs. The five new WAPI-compatible models in Sony's VAIO SZ series support the IEEE 802.11b or IEEE 802.11a/g standards.
