Funai to Build US$60 Mln LCD TV Plant in Poland

Japanese Funai recently announced that it will construct a LCD TV (Liquid Crystal Display Television) plant in Nowa Sol, Poland, with an investment of seven billion Yen (US$ 60 million; US$1 = 117.1 Yen). The new facility is expected to start operations in June, 2007, with an initial monthly capacity of 100,000 units, and will gradually increase to 200,000 units in 2007.
