Huawei, ZTE Clinch Equipment Supply Contracts with Telkom Indonesia

Chinese Huawei and ZTE have been rewarded contracts to supply CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) equipment to Telkom Indonesia. Under the contracts, valued at some 722 billion Rupiah (US$79.4 million; US1 = 9090.9 Rupiah), both firms will help Telkom Indonesia expand its Flexi network in Jakarta, West Java, and Kalimantan. The project is slated to start at the beginning of 2007 and is expected to create 9.7 million more lines upon completion.
