Taiwanese AUO recently showcased four advanced LCD TV technologies at FPD (Flat Panel Display) International 2006 in Japan. The innovations include AMVA (Advanced Multi-domain Vertical Alignment) technology which gives an ultra-wide 178-degree viewing angle; ASPD (AUO Simulated Pulsed Driving) technology for improved motion picture quality; HiColor technology coupled with high-end LED (Light Emitting Diode) backlight, boosting the color gamut to 105% of the NTSC (National Television System Committee) standard, and APE (AUO Picture Enhancer) technology that strengthens the contrast effect of the image.
