According to Sina, the CVIA (China Video Industry Association) has set up a committee aimed to boost the PDP (Plasma Display Panel) TV share in the Chinese market. This committee consists of eight PDP TV makers, including Changhong, Hitachi, LG, Samsung SDI, Xoceco, Sunnyasia, and Irico, with Changhong as the team leader. Duties of this committee include improving the environment for PDP TV development in China, providing support for the establishment of PDP TV standards, and increasing the penetration rate of PDP TVs in China.
