12 TV Makers to Quit China's CRT Market by Late 2007

Twelve leading TV makers, including Philips, LG, Samsung, Fujitsu Hitachi, Sharp, Panasonic, Hisense, Haier, TCL, Changhong, Skyworth, and Xoceco (Xiamen Overseas Chinese Electronics) recently announced that they will withdraw from China's CRT TV (Cathode Ray Tube) market by no later than October 1, 2007. Sony has already stopped producing CRT TVs in March, and LG has announced plans to stop manufacturing 1366x768 and below CRT TVs starting September.
