BenQ to Move 3G Mobile Phone Production Line to Shanghai

Taiwanese BenQ has announced that it will move its 3G mobile phone production line from Taiwan to China's Shanghai Jinqiao Export Processing Zone with an initial investment of approximately US$90 million. Relocation of this fab is slated to be completed by the end of 2006, and is expected to generate about 70 million 3G mobile phones in the first year.
