Huawei Announces 3G Deal with Leap Wireless

Chinese telecommunications equipment maker Huawei announced that they had signed a supply agreement with US wireless carrier Leap Wireless, under which Huawei will sell 3G equipment based on CDMA2000 (Code Division Multiple Access-2000) to Leap Wireless. Leap Wirelss will adopt Huawei's 3G solutions to deploy its wireless service in Spokane, Washington, Boise, Idaho, and Reno, Nevada. Further details of the deal have not yet been disclosed.
