Samsung, Sprint, Intel, Motorola to Commercialize WiBro Services in US

Samsung recently formed a strategic alliance with Sprint Nextel, Intel, and Motorola to commercialize WiBro services in the United States. Samsung is to supply the infrastructure and an integrated device solution to Sprint Nextel, which plans to invest up to US$3 billion building the WiBro network starting 2007 and begin nationwide services in 2008. Intel will supply the modem chips and Motorola the base station and mobile phone equipment.
