New Vision Microelectronics' LCD Monitor Driver IC to be Mass Produced

Chinese New Vision Microelectronics, a Shanghai-based IC design company, recently announced that its driver IC NV1017 for use in 17-inch TFT LCD monitors is set to go into mass production. The company claimed that this marks the first time a Chinese developed driver IC for large area TFT LCDs enters mass production. The company's driver IC applications also include LCD TVs and notebook PCs.
