Sino-Brillian Starts Mass Production of LCoS Optical Engines

Sino-Brillian, an LCoS joint venture between Syntax-Brillian and China South Industries Group, has begun volume production at its facility in Nanyang, China. It has started manufacturing 1,500 LCoS optical engines, to be delivered to local TV makers starting in the third quarter of 2006. Plans for capacity expansion are already in place. The company has set a production target of 30,000 units per year.
