Samsung to Begin 82-inch Panel Mass Production for DID Applications

Samsung recently announced that it will start mass production of 82-inch panels in its 7G TFT-LCD substrate production line in Korea. This 82-inch panel will be used in DID (Digital Intelligence Display) applications for outdoor and indoor advertisement bulletin boards in airports, museums and subways. Samsung has no immediate plans to manufacture LCD TVs using this panel size.
