LG.Philips to Construct LCM Plant in Guangzhou, China

LG.Philips recently announced that it has signed a preliminary agreement with the Guangzhou government to build a LCM production facility in Guangzhou, China. The Guangzhou government revealed that the company has planned to invest around US$100 million in the complex, which will consist of two production lines. One line will manufacture 32-inch and 47-inch modules with an annual capacity of 5.76 million units, while the second line will focus on 2-inch and 7-inch modules with an annual capacity of 46.8 million units. A construction timetable for the facility was not yet released.
