Delta Plans to Triple CCFL Capacity by End of 2006

Taiwanese Delta Electronics recently announced that it will add several CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp) production lines at its Wujiang plant in China, intending to triple its total CCFL production capacity. After the expansion Delta will have 18 CCFL production lines in China, while it also operates 12 production lines in Taiwan. The 30 production lines are expected to have a combined monthly production capacity of over 18 million units by the end of 2006, in comparison with the current capacity of five to six million units.
