According to the Nihon Keizai newspaper, Sony is planning to develop 10-inch and larger OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) panels by setting up a test production line in a facility in Yasu, Japan. This facility is owned by ST LCD, which is a joint venture between Sony and Toyota Industries. The production line is expected to be ready by the end of 2006. More details about the total investment and production capacity of the new production line were not yet available.
