Linux JV to Be Set Up in Beijing

According to Jiji Press, Japan's Miracle Linux has decided to establish a Beijing-based joint venture with China's Red Flag Software and Korea's Haansoft, with which Miracle Linux has been cooperating for two years, for the development of new Linux platforms. Red Flag Software will contribute 50% new company's capital, and Miracle Linux and Hannsoft will divide the other 50% equally. The three companies expect to gain approval for the new company, which will be called Asianux, from the Chinese government by mid-May.
