Sumitomo to Increase Polarizing Film Capacity

Japan's Sumitomo Chemical plans to invest 50 billion Yen to expand its annual capacity of polarizing film used in LCD TVs from 24 million to 76 million square meters by the summer of 2007. Sumitomo will boost its production in facilities in Japan and Korea, while it will also construct a new plant in China.
