Kenmos to Build 2nd Backlight Module Plant in Taiwan

Taiwanese Kenmos Technology has revealed plans to construct a second production line in Taiwan for backlight modules used in 37- and 42-inch LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) TVs with an investment of NT$500 million. Mass production is scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2006, and the plant will have a monthly capacity of 100,000 units initially.
