LCD TVs Gain more Ground over CRT in Japan During '05

According to Japan's JEITA, Japanese LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) TV shipment volume in 2005 reached 4.2 million units, outpacing CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) TVs by 240,000 units. Shipment growth was particularly strong in 30-inch and above LCD TVs, which hit 1.5 million units, accounting for approximately 33% of the total flat-panel TV shipment.
